Vehicle tracking services company Ctrack, part of Inseego, has won the ‘Living the Discovery Insure Values Award’ at Discovery’s 2016 Partner Awards black tie event held in Sandton. The partner awards recognised Ctrack for living their values, of which three are shared by both organisations: customer delight, integrity and innovation.

Ctrack has been Discovery Insure’s telematics partner of their highly-successful and innovative Vitalitydrive™ program since the inception in 2011. The DQ-Track™ telematics system, developed in collaboration with Ctrack, is one of the world’s largest deployments of usage-based insurance (UBI).  The programme is focused on rewarding good driving behaviour.

The event was attended by more than 150 representatives of Discovery Insure Partner companies, including other winners such as Tiger Wheel & Tyre, and Uber. Partner scores were determined by various factors, including the number of client compliments received throughout the year.

“We are thrilled to receive this recognition for our workplace practices and appreciate the dedication of all our employees involved in this programme,” said Pierre Bruwer, MD of Ctrack SA.

UBI has steadily been gaining traction internationally, with telematics enabling insurers to offer policies that rate driver performance. Research shows almost 40% of all auto insurance carriers in the US are expected to make use of UBI by 2020. This makes Discovery Insure and Ctrack ahead of the curve internationally.
