Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) is Pakistan’s first successfully tested model of trained Emergency Service established by the Government of Punjab through legislation to provide a system for Emergency Preparedness, Response and Prevention. The Service has been established for proper management of emergencies such as road traffic accidents, buildings collapse, explosions, hazardous material incidents, fires and disasters.

The Government of Punjab established an effective integrated emergency preparedness, response and prevention system through promulgation of unanimously passed Punjab Emergency Service Act, 2006. The Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) was established under this Act includes Emergency Ambulance, Rescue & Fire Services and Disaster Emergency Response Teams. Trained emergency paramedics, Ambulance, Rescue and Fire services were virtually non-existent prior to raising of this service.
THE CHALLENGE
With the growth from initial 12 cities to planned 36 cities with a fleet 350 vehicles, which include Ambulances, Rescue & Fire vehicle, PES required to establish a fleet management system for Emergency preparedness and to have a check on their fleet and drivers on real time basis. PES recognized that greater visibility and control over its fleet could achieve increased operating efficiency, whilst providing ease of management, deployment as well as effective monitoring of its fleet.
THE SOLUTION
PES selected C-track Solo with Driver Management Module (DMM) after a tender review process which lasted over 2 months which included exhaustive testing of product, data and reports. By adapting this advanced fleet management technology PES can now be counted amongst the elite in C-track users globally and will have a 360o view of their entire fleet in real time. Some of the key features delivered are:
- 24-hour real time tracking of fleet from Central Command Centre in Lahore
- C-track 5 ‘thick client’ and C-track Connect ‘thin client’ deployed across PES 36 centres
- Trakker Data Centre as DR site with 24-hour tracking and data support
- C-track fleet management reporting
- Apart from standard C-track Solo tracking features fleet will be monitored for RPM, digital Driver ID tags for driver behavior reports, vehicle utilization, zonal monitoring, vehicle maintenance reminders, fuel usage and e-mail alerts
