SEVERN TRENT WATER KEEPS ON TRACK WITH C-TRACK - Contract extension adds 300 vehicles to advanced tracking solution

Severn Trent Water, the water company serving more than eight million customers across central England, is extending its vehicle tracking solution to include a further 300 vans and commercial vehicles. The vehicles, part of the company’s clean water fleet, will be fitted with DigiCore’s innovative C-track system following a similar installation last year that has delivered both operational productivity and cost savings.

Successful trail achieves productivity and efficiency benefits

Yorkshire Water – the leading utility water company within the UK providing water and waste water services to more than 4.7million people and 140,000 businesses – has appointed DigiCore to install a sophisticated vehicle tracking solution across its fleet of technicians vehicles. The phased roll-out of DigiCore’s C-track system follows a detailed 12-month trial involving 60 vehicles that has demonstrated widespread fleet benefits including increased productivity, reduced fuel usage and enhanced customer service.

27% of Fleet Operators now using Vehicle Tracking technology

More than one in four UK fleets is using tracking within their vehicle operations according to new research from fleet solutions provider DigiCore. The results from the Vehicle Tracking Survey 2008 – conducted amongst 150 fleet decision makers and influencers – also claim three quarters of companies using a tracking system are achieving value from the technology.

DigiCore grows on global pickings

DigiCore Holding, the listed hi-tech fleet management and vehicle tracking company, yesterday reported a 46% growth in earnings a share to 23.5c in the six months to December and signalled its intention to more aggressively pursue international business.

Platinum stocks push JSE higher

Electronic equipment group DigiCore said earlier earnings and headline earnings per share for the six months ended December last year would exceed the comparable earnings and the headline earnings per share for the prior year by 40%-50%. Its share price ended 3,53% higher at R7,92.
