"I would like to place on record my impressions of the service I have received from Ctrack and more precisely Ctrack. One of my technical vehicles was stolen this morning while the technicians were in a premises in Rivonia carrying out an installation. A call to the control centre was logged and taken by a Ctrack control room agent.

The rush and panic resulted in both the tech and myself forgetting the registration number but with little fuss Ctrack located the details and implemented the recovery procedures. The vehicle was retrieved 15 minutes later by the Ctrack recovery team that Ctrack had been directing from there side. We have lost a canopy and a radio but could have lost 6 weeks income from that vehicle.

What a pleasure it is to know, that the money we pay each month for our vehicles to be protected is clearly being put to good use, and that your staff can manage these situations while we panic. Having owned an Armed reaction company for 11 years previously, and run the company that acquired it, I can say, without reservation, that your ops. team is an asset to your organisation.

DigiCore Fleet management (Pty) Ltd has provided the eThekwini municipality with a Vehicle Monitoring System

In November 2005 we resolved “That as a comprehensive Monitoring System is required to be fitted to Council owner vehicles to monitor both vehicle and driver operation and to ensure that the latest technology in the field is taken into account, a public Request For Proposals for the supply of such a system be advertised”

Sixteen organisations took documentation an on closing date eight firms submitted offeres. Offers from four firms met the required specifications and were selected for detailed presentations. Two offers were eliminated after the presentation as they did not fully meet the business requirements, and the remaining two firms underwent further detailed investigation and sire visits were made to organisations where their respective products were in use.

DigiCore Fleet Management (Pty) Ltd was awarded the contract fro the supply of their C-track Monitoring Systems in June 2006 because (i) They met all business requirements with no areas of risk, (ii) the initial investment with regards to the capital was in favour of DigiCore, (iii) the operating costs per month were in favour of DigiCore; (iv) Their product is manufactured in South Africa; (v) at the time they were the largest supplier in South Africa of this type of equipment and also exported the system to overseas countries; (vi) at that stage that had BEE shareholding of 26%; and (vii) some 2000 of the earlier version of the DigiCore Monitoring System had been successfully used by eThekwini Municipality over the previous 15 years and their level of after sales support was regarded as very good

Rainbow Base the Transport Section of Grameenphone, Bangaldesh largest mobile network operator with a fleet of over 600 vehicles, recovered one of its rental vehicles on 8th August 2009. The vehicle was hijacked in the Khilket Footover Bridge area. Within minutes, at 10:48PM, an alarm was sent to Grameenphone Rainbow Base. The vehicle installed with the C-track system kept updating the vehicle’s position in real time as it sped towards the outskirts of Dhaka, Bangladesh’s capital city, allowing the control operator to monitor the vehicle and safely immobilize it within a few minutes.

A recovery team was sent to the vehicle’s location and at 11:14PM it was recovered without any damage. The following day the vehicle was returned to its owner by the Rainbow Base team which had been successful in its recovery with the assistance of the C-track system.
